It looks like a great hill to learn how to ski. Not at all large enough to attract too many crowds from Tokyo. There is a sledding section and the hill rents sleds for Yen 500 (2024/25).
Onsen
Yes, just as the name implies, there are onsens. Check out HIRAYU NO MORI . Keep your lift ticket as you can also use it for the onsen.

There is one main cafeteria, Ankia. There is more available in the town of HIrayyu.

Snowboard and ski rentals are available, including ski and snow wear. There are also sled rentals!

Plenty of free parking and very close to the lifts.
Other Great Things To Do or See
Sledding can be enjoyed in the family area at the base of the mountain. You also do not need skis or a snowboard to ride the chair lifts. There is plenty of onsen to choose from in the neighboring village of Hirayu.
